Microturbines
and
Co-Generation Systems
Clean, Reliable, and Flexible Source for Power
|
|
Self-Generation:
Microturbines are ultra-low emission generators that in most cases will be exempt from air quality control permits and allowed unlimited operation. Expandability: multiple 30kW or CARB DG certified 60kW units can be ganged together without external hardware to operate independently or as one. In addition, these microturbines can operate in grid-tied or stand-alone modes, or both. Interconnection is simplified by pre-certification UL1741 and California's Rule 21.

Co-Generation:
Also referred to as CHP, Combined Heat and Power is a twofold benefit. One, the turbine produces electricity. Two, the heat from the turbine exhaust passes into a heat recovery unit, which can pre-heat boiler water, domestic hot water heating systems, or a number of other possibilities. CHP offers all the benefits of self-generation and more.
Grants up to 30% of the project cost
Special natural gas rates
The combined benefits can lead to some very impressive return on investments.

Bio-Fuel Applications:
Microturbines can be ordered to operate on a number of different fuels besides natural gas, which include landfill, digester, oilfield flare, and well head gases.
